4 star staff in a 2 star Hotel.

Novatel is supposed to be a 4 star luxury hotel. The first day we had to switch rooms on our own, No one could help us. My second room had stains on the carpet like someone was murdered there. My safe didn't work and I reported it. Every day after I went to the front desk and they said it would be fixed. Michael , at the front desk said on day 5, no one told you we had to order a special part.? We went out and for a few hours and came back, it was fixed. The shower knob couldn't be turned. Maintainance came up and fixed both my moms and my shower. The handles on the both showers were loose and dangerous. I went down and they sent someone up later to fix both. The wall is separating from the shower and you can see the mold. They do not supply facecloths. There is no air-conditioning . No premium channels on tv. My moms refrigerator broke and they replaced that. The beds were uncomfortable . The front door to the hotel was left wide open for days and nights because it was broken. No security and anyone off the street could walk in. The garbage can that was attached to the building was overflowing with trash from 3 days. Imagine the impression you get seeing that for the first time. I told Michael that we were checking out early the 11th instead of the 17th. I told him we just can't stay here anymore. He said you prepaid and you have to take it up with priceline for a refund of the days not used. We called priceline and Michael denied the claim and he has no record of complaints about the room. Review the pictures and make up your own mind. If Michael denies the complaints that he has no record of, I will be happy to post a picture of him.

Great hotel but food prices were ridiculous

Great place to stay, staff friendly, room spacious and clean. Less than 10 minute walk from Temple Meads train station and 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Theres a Starbucks, Greg’s and weatherspoons close by which was really hand in the morning. The only reason I’ve given it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered breakfast for the morning, which wasn’t included in the room. They told me children were free but it cost £18 for one breakfast! Absolutely extortionate!

wonderful sleep in overnight stays

We booked this hotel for two separate overnight stays; it was like an oasis in this big town. We had a good sleep in the comfortable bed and for breakfast we could choose from a wide range of very different things. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Next time when we take a flight to Bristol, we will come again for another stay. Thank you, dear staff of the Novotel Bristol Centre.

Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent food. Comfortable beds. Clean. Breakfast and bar staff are brilliant......very welcoming and work hard to provide an excellent level of service. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to you.

Perfect location for family city break

Great hotel for a family break. We booked the suite which was very spacious - one large bedroom with en suite and a living room with sofa bed, dining table, arm chair and an additional toilet. Air con not great - pretty sure it was just a fan and that the air con was not activated due to the time of year. Beds all very comfortable. Breakfast was very, very good and plenty of gluten free options - majority of cooked items were GF as well as GF cereal and muesli. GF toast on demand. Location very good - a short walk to major sites. Some noise from office block renovation opposite but this wasn't really an issue.
